The Toddler Community
Designed to be a nurturing home away from home, our Toddler community provides a loving environment that encourages each child to socialize and explore the wonders of a classroom designed for his/her needs.
Children between the ages of 15 months and 3 years are enrolled in our Toddler Community. This specially prepared environment is a home-like environment made safe for exploration and discoveries. The word community emphasizes that this is a small group of connected individuals and their families.
The child of this age is developing in four major areas which are movement, order, language and independence. The structure of the day, the interactions between the teachers and the child, the design of the room, and the activities provided are intended to allow the child to progress through these normal developmental stages at the child's pace.
Good Shepherd Lessons
In preparation for the Good Shepherd lessons of the Primary Environment, young children from 15 months to 3 years experience the agape love of a Toddler Community. This environment is rich with songs, poems, praises, and prayers as each child joyfully begins his or her spiritual walk.
